The workbench / always in progress

A few open threads.

Software architecture, backend development, CI/CD, and experiments with AI.

Software / systems / AI

What’s on the bench.

I’m a backend developer and release manager. I like getting from an idea to something that works — then finding what could work better.

AI gets plenty of time on the workbench, alongside architecture, software, and the decidedly less glamorous business of getting it all into production.

01Software architectureFinding the shape of a system

The boundaries, connections, and trade-offs behind the code. I’m interested in solutions that make a system easier to understand, change, and live with.

02Getting it shippedFrom a commit to a working release

CI/CD, release management, and automation. The practical decisions that make delivery less of an event and more of a useful habit.

03Down the AI rabbit holeTrying things. Asking better questions.

I spend a lot of time working with AI: experimenting, building software, and exploring where it can help. Plenty to try. Plenty to question.
